MALAMET exercises precise due diligence of minerals sourcing all around the world. Being the first non-smelter company from Malaysia to pass the due-diligence audit by the independent auditor of ITSCI and hence accessed to be the full member of the program, Malamet is continuously committed to promote a sustainable, safe and ethical sourcing and trading of mineral, focusing on 3T Minerals (Tin, Tungsten and Tantalum). In 2021. MALAMET purchases Tin and Tungsten only from companies/sources that fully compliant to ITSCI (ITRI Tin Supply Chain Initiative) and/or RMI (Responsible Minerals Initiative) sources. We are particularly concerned that the raw materials we procure are sourced responsibly and do not contribute to such conflicts. MALAMET is constantly developing and implementing a due diligence management system that aligns with high standards of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations (UN) guidelines for company due diligence on minerals from CAHRA countries.
